1.
We believe in Nationally accredited standards of practice and
Qualification More information CLICK HERE
2.
We are flexible in our approach. No one therapy can assist all people
or all problems. We have available a comprehensive range of therapies
and methods that we can combine according to your needs, all to
appropriate quality standards.
3.
We have many years of experience (established 1993) and the Senior
Partner has been assessed in actual practice for NVQ accreditation.
4.
We are dedicated to anti-discrimination and work equally with all
faiths, genders, sexual preferences and cultures.
5. We are used to working with clients who have sought assistance from
other therapists previously, and who now require a deeper or more
effective response.
6. We
are involved in the
provision (through partners) of accredited training programmes,
providing REAL standards of accreditation in therapy.

WARNING:
Do you
want a properly qualified therapist?
-
Did you
know there are
National Occupational Standards (NOS)
for Complementary Health? These include 13 major competences
PLUS specific complementary Health NOS
including counselling, Healing, hypnotherapy, kinesiology, and many
more.
-
Most therapy "diplomas" and "associations" are
independent and not subject to any nationally enforced
standard. Many therapists only have independent
awards.
-
Faith
based (pastoral) awards and independent awards are useful, but the
emphasis should be on nationally recognised standards.
-
There ARE
nationally accredited standards in many therapies through
academic and vocational routes. Wherever possible look for Nationally Accredited
Standards. These should be QCA and NQF or NVCQ recognised. Or from an
accreditation body recognised by the Department of Education / QCA /
SQA. The award itself or the awarding body should be accredited.

meaningful Nationally Accredited Standards! CLICK HERE
Newsflash
There
are new NOS National Occupational Standards being developed for
"psychological therapies" covering counselling, psychotherapy &
psychology.
We support this move in principle,
but are
concerned that this may lead to statutory registeration of those
therapies in a way that may not be good for the profession or the
public. If it leads to restriction of holistic working or the effective
combination of therapies, then we will consider ourselves life coaches
and holistic therapists who also "use counselling and psychotherapy
skills" from that point on, adhering instead to the existing NOS
National Occupational Standards for Healing.
